Looking for a new, budget-friendly single-shot rifle or shotgun? CVA has updated the Scout lineup for 2025, with two new rifles and a shotgun with useful features for practical hunters.CVA Centerfires @ TFB: CVA Cascade SR-80: The Scout Rifle Treatment Shooters Choice Exclusive: CVA Scout Break-Action in 300BLK New CVA Cascade XT Bolt-Action Rifle [SHOT 2022] New Rifles From Bergara and CVAReady for the woodsFirst off, note that neither the updated Scout model or the new Scout Takedown are reinvented; these use the same basic action as before, but with new features.The Scout lineup uses a break-action design with a manually-cocked hammer, similar to the CVA Wolf Muzzleloader. The base model has an updated Picatinny rail for mounting optics, and a stock redesigned to more easily fit individual shooters, including adjustable length-of-pull and comb height with removable spacers. CVA also added steel sling swivel studs, instead of the old molded-in plastic studs.
