The Rimfire Report: Remembering Karl VanKeuren of Crazy Ivan LLC

Hello and welcome back to another edition of The Rimfire Report! This ongoing series is all about the world of rimfire firearms, covering everything from guns and shooting sports to history and technology. Last week, we took a look at the rimfire Browning BPR rifle. This week, we’re shifting gears to honor a man whose work has had a lasting impact on the world of rimfire firearms—Karl VanKeuren, the founder of Crazy Ivan LLC.Crazy Ivan was known for being one of the first to help bring the Ruger 10/22 platform into the 21st century with his original chassis. Unfortunately, Karl passed away in January 2022, but his legacy remains embedded in the firearms community and it seems that now his legacy will be carried on by others who wish to keep the legacy of Crazy Ivan and his work alive.
