TFB’s Photo Of The Day is happy to be back with more images from the great combat photographer Torbjørn Kjosvold, and his work with the Norwegian Special Operations Commandos – or Forsvarets Spesialkommando (FSK) as they’re called in Norwegian.

Forsvarets Spesialkommando (FSK) is one of Norway’s elite special forces units, established in 1982. Initially part of the Army, they focus on counter-terrorism, hostage rescue, and specialized reconnaissance. Since 2014, FSK operates under the Norwegian Special Operations Command (NORSOCOM), along with the Marinejegerkommandoen (Navy Special Forces) and the 339 Special Operations Aviation Squadron.

FSK has a prominent role in both national defense and international missions, including deployments in Kosovo, Afghanistan, and counter-piracy operations in the Indian Ocean.
