With a new legislative session starting up this week, it looks like we are set for a replay of the 2023-2024 session with rabidly anti-gun House Speaker Joanna McClinton (D-191) pushing for more gun control.
At the moment, we’re tracking 36 anti-gun bills, including Red Flag Gun Confiscation Orders, “Ghost Gun” bans, universal registration checks, mandatory safe storage laws, and semi-automatic rifle bans (to name a few). You can see a complete list of upcoming gun-related legislation here.
While the Democrats have retained their razor-thin, 102-101 majority in the House, they face an uphill battle to implement their assault against your God-given rights. Just like the last session, it will only take a few votes in our favor to defeat McClinton and her constitution-hating allies.
And let’s not forget that the ONLY way any gun control CAN pass in the Pennsylvania House is with Republican support. We saw up to nine Republicans break ranks last session, leading to the passage of Red Flag Gun Confiscation Orders, Universal Registration checks, and a ban on homemade firearms in the House.
The good news is that the Pennsylvania Senate will retain a pro-gun majority. The Senate Judiciary Committee has proven to be a firewall against anti-gun legislation,
