Washington, D.C. — Gun Owners of America (GOA), Gun Owners Foundation (GOF), and Gun Owners of California (GOC) joined forces with the California Rifle & Pistol Association and the Second Amendment Foundation to achieve a significant victory. Together, they secured an order implementing a preliminary injunction in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, compelling the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the La Verne Police Department, and state of California to allow their non-resident members to apply for concealed carry permits.
Erich Pratt, GOA’s Senior Vice President, issued the following statement:
“Our Constitutionally protected rights are not up for debate—especially not at the whim of overreaching, tyrannical law enforcement agencies. GOA is committed to fighting for our members. We’ve said it before and we will say it again–anti-gun states can fall in line, or we will make you.”
Sam Paredes, Executive Director of Gun Owners of California, issued the following statement:
