NY Police Department Requires Access to Facebook for Pistol Registration
A member of New York Firearms posted both a statement and a picture that claims the city of Watervliet, New York is asking for their Facebook profile and password when registering their pistol.
The post, made Wednesday evening, recounting this story:

The police were contacted and asked about the password requirement to which they replied that it was intended for internal use only.
When asked what he meant by “internal use,” Mr. Boisvert said that police station does not require people to write down their password in the application, but they do require people to log into their profile and allow people to read through it.
