Based on a familiar foundationThis revolver is based on the previous Taurus 608 full-sized revolver model. This wheelgun has been around for almost 30 years; it was introduced in 1997 as a revamp of the even earlier Model 607 revolver. With an eight-round cylinder chambered in .357 Magnum, adjustable sights and smoothed-out internals, the idea was to build a slick-shooting double-action/single-action handgun on par with more expensive competitors.
