Riton is following up on their recent release of the 1 Tactix ARD 2 red dot sight with an appropriate companion if you want to stretch things out a little further downrange. 3 Tactix 3X Magnifier has quick detach capability and a spring-loaded push button flip-away function. If you can appreciate simplicity in a small lightweight package at a price that’s easy on the wallet, keep reading.In my opinion, a dot and magnifier combo doesn’t replace a magnified optic if you’re doing that kind of work. I see a magnifier as a temporary attachment that I like to keep stowed and only mount when I think I may need it. This philosophy keeps rifle weight down whenever possible and is why a QD mount is the only way to go.Over the years, I’ve appreciated a lot of expensive magnifiers that I still own, but the fact that I run them the way I do means they tend to bounce around in my dump pouch and take a bit of a beating.
